Q1. Do Solar Lanterns have to be under direct sun light? My front porch receives the late afternoon sun. Will they still lit in cloudy or rainy season?
A: The lanterns are entirely powered by the sun. Each night, the lanterns will be lit until they run out of power, and then spend all day charging back up. To get a full charge, they need about 6-8 hours of direct sunlight. Less sun or indirect sun will mean less power to light the lantern in the evenings, but they'll still light up for a time.
Q2. Could I hang the lantern?
A: Yes, you can. But please make sure there's enough sunshine to reach the lanterns.
Q3.My lantern turns off when I put my light on, how can I get it to stay on?
A: These lanterns have light sensors that tell them when to charge and when to produce light. There isn't a great way to have a solar light ON when there is other light shining on it. You can cover the solar panel but I think a better solution might be to use battery-powered lanterns instead of solar-powered.
Q4. Can lanterns stay outside?
A: Yes, the lanterns can be used outdoors. They are IP44 waterproof. The surface of the lanterns has passed the salt spray test. They are waterproof and corrosion resistant. It is the best choice for outdoor lanterns.
Q5. How to clean outdoor metal lanterns?
A:You can directly wipe them with a towel or wash them with detergent or washing powder solution. Just scrub, do not scrub with concentrated lye.
