Q1. Do Solar Lanterns have to be under direct sun light? My front porch receives the late afternoon sun. Will they still lit in cloudy or rainy season?
A: The lanterns are entirely powered by the sun. Each night, the lanterns will be lit until they run out of power, and then spend all day charging back up. To get a full charge, they need about 6-8 hours of direct sunlight. Less sun or indirect sun will mean less power to light the lantern in the evenings, but they'll still light up for a time.
Q2. My lantern turns off when I put my light on, how can I get it to stay on?
A: These lanterns have light sensors that tell them when to charge and when to produce light. There isn't a great way to have a solar light ON when there is other light shining on it. You can cover the solar panel but I think a better solution might be to use battery-powered lanterns instead of solar-powered.
Q3. How do we charge the battery?
A: These lanterns are solar-powered so you just leave the lanterns (switch should be turned ON) in the sun for 6-8 hours and then it'll be fine.
Q4. Can these be left out in the rain?
A: Yes, they can since they are weatherproof, and they're designed to be outside all year. But please make sure they are placed somewhere with good drainage- they shouldn't sit in a puddle and obviously you should take them in during extreme weather like hurricanes.
Q5. Can you produce according to the samples?
A: Yes, we can produce by your samples or technical drawings.
