Hanko White outdoor lanterns are made of real metal, and the LED candle lights inside the lantern provide a flickering flame look that mimics a warm glowing fire. Inside the lantern there is a plastic electronic candle for decoration, we use a solar part at the top to illuminate it. Q1. Can the lantern be opened to access the inside? I'd like to add colored stones inside the lantern to weigh them down.
A: Yes, that is possible. You can just open the hinged door and weigh the lantern down.
Q2. Are the sides glass? If they fell would it shatter?
A: For some lanerns, yes, the sides are made of real glass and could break if not handled properly although these lanterns are both sturdy and stunning. And for some other lanterns, they are designed to be without any glass, therefore, just no need to worry about that.
Q3. Would these need to be moved out of direct sunlight during the very hot summer? Could they potentially get too hot causing them to melt a little or become warped?
A: Good question! The Lanterns are made of real metal and durable resin and are designed to be out in the direct sun.
Q4. Is the candle removable? (can you replace the candle with a different one)
A: Yes, it is removable, and can be replaced with a new one.
Q5. Can lanterns stay outside?
A: Yes, the lanterns can be used outdoors. They are IP44 waterproof. The surface of the lanterns has passed the salt spray test. They are waterproof and corrosion resistant. It is the best choice for outdoor lanterns.
